This is the one. The song that gave the Union lens its thesis, because the word union in Chaplin's chorus is doing three jobs at once, and that triple meaning is the entire reason Quorum treats it as its own category.
Ralph Chaplin wrote "Solidarity Forever" in January 1915, set to the tune of "John Brown's Body." It became the most-sung labor anthem in American history.
Why union is its own lens.
In America the word union does three jobs at once: the federal Union, the political body; the labor union, workers organising; and the act of unification itself, e pluribus unum, out of many one. Quorum does not choose between them. Forgetting any one weakens the whole.
