You cannot vote if you are not registered. "Registered and ready" names the unglamorous administrative step that decides whether the vote happens at all. It is a checklist turned into a civic identity.

The design is quietly practical. It is for the person who has done the paperwork and wants the reminder, for the registration drive, for the volunteer at the table. It states a status and turns it into a small point of pride.
