Journalism Is Not a Crime., Quorum

A flat statement.

The line states the obvious because the obvious needs stating. Reporting, asking questions, publishing what is found, these are protected acts, not offences. "Journalism is not a crime" simply refuses the premise that they could be.

Why the plainest framing wins.

There is no metaphor here and no cleverness. Quorum's Press lens reaches its plainest register in this design, and the plainness is the strength. It is a sentence no one can misread.

How we set it.

Declarative Archivo Narrow with "Crime" carried into the Fraunces italic, the accent on the word being refused. Direct, sober, built to read fast.
